WEST WINDSOR, NJ - The Northampton men's basketball team won their 4th consecutive game, downing NJCAA Division II Mercer County Community College, 89-79, on Thursday evening at the Simone Physical Education Center.
Nate Rivera (Bethlehem, PA/LIberty) led five Spartans in double figures with 19 points, including 6 trifectas,
Nasir Ruhani (Brooklyn, NY/Eagle Academy (NY)) finished with 18,
Ethan Ringenberger (Egypt, PA/Whitehall) 14,
Lamaj Mapp (Darby, PA/Penn Wood) 12 and
Abdul Jackson (Pottstown, PA/Pottstown) had 10.
The win moves Northampton, which received votes in the latest NJCAA poll, to 15-2 overall.
Mercer falls to 5-9.
The Spartans are back in action on Saturday when they host Harrisburg Area Community College at noon.
