Dover, DE - The Northampton Women's Volleyball team behind the strong play of Freshman Outside Hitter
Kyra Miller (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) and Middle Hitter
Sophia Tyma (Bethlehem, PA/Lehigh Valley Academy) picked up a big road victory on Monday night over NJCAA Division II Delaware Tech 3-1 (25-18, 25-12, 22-25, 26-24) at the DTCC Sports Complex.
Kyra Miller (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) and
Sophia Tyma (Bethlehem, PA/Lehigh Valley Academy) each recorded a season high with 13 kills apiece while Miller also added 3 digs and 2 service aces and Tyma collected 4 blocks to lead the Spartans. Sophomore Outside Hitter
Lexi Womack (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) collected 11 kills and 14 digs and Right Side
Zoe Velez (Landville, PA/Warwick) contributed 6 kills and 2 blocks. Setter
Samantha Nagy (Easton, PA/Easton), who on Monday was named EPAC Player of the Week for the second time this season, added 44 assists and 5 digs. Libero
Gianna Sciarra (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) recorded 29 digs and a pair of service aces.

Del Tech falls to 10-6 overall with the loss.
Northampton, ranked 7th in the NJCAA national poll, improves to 22-1 overall with the win.
The Spartans are back in action on Thursday, October 16th when they host NJCAA Division II Lackawanna College on their annual Sophomore Night at the Arthur L. Scott Center at 6pm.
