BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's volleyball team held serve on Monday evening, downing undefeated Union County College, 25-16, 25-18, 25-23, at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Luke Smith (Breiningsville, PA/Parkland) recorded 12 kills, 7 digs and 4 blocks,
John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) had 10 kills and
Matthew Gonzalez (Coopersburg, PA/Liberty) registered 23 digs for Northampton.
"Really proud of the guys for their effort tonight," stated Head Coach
Rachael Aquila, "they knew the importance of this match and went out and got it done."
Omarion Tembo (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) totaled 9 kills and 5 digs and setter
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) racked up 30 assists, 7 digs and 2 aces.
Northampton improves to 10-1 overall and 8-1 in Region 19.
Union falls to 13-6 overall and 10-1 in the Region.
The Spartans host Ocean County College on Wednesday at 6pm.
