BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's volleyball team improved to 11-2 on the season with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18) victory over Passaic County Community College on Friday night at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
Brando Gomez (Allentown, PA/Building 21) recorded 6 kills and 10 blocks,
Matthew Gonzalez (Coopersburg, PA/Liberty) had 17 digs and
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) added 44 assists as the Spartans rolled past the Panthers.
John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) and
Omarion Tembo (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) combined for 30 kills, while Nice added 11 digs and 3 service aces.
"This has been a big week for us," replied Head Coach
Rachael Aquila, "and we are right back at it tomorrow, so we need to get some rest tonight and be ready to go after two wins tomorrow."
The win puts Northampton at 11-2 overall and 9-2 in Region 19 with 3 matches to play.
Passaic falls to 6-12 overall and 5-8 in Region play.
The Spartans are back on the court Saturday as they host a tri-match with Middlesex and Harcum.
