CANANDAIGUA, NY - The 7th seeded Northampton men's volleyball team lost to #4 Finger Lakes Community College, 3-2, (25-17, 14-25, 25-22, 19-25, 5-15) on Saturday afternoon at the NJCAA National Invitational.
The 2-time defending champion Lakers rallied from a 2-1 deficit to down the Spartans and stay alive in the double-elimination tournament.
John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) had 19 kills and 9 digs and
Luke Smith (Breiningsville, PA/Parkland) added 11 kills to lead Northampton.
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) recorded 40 assists and 5 blocks.
The Spartans will now face #5 Bryant & Stratton (WI) in the 5th place match on Sunday at 12pm.
