CHARLOTTE, NC - The Northampton softball season has come to an official end, as the Spartans were informed this afternoon that they were not chosen for the at-large bid to the NJCAA National Tournament in Syracuse, NY.  Northampton, 20-12, which lost in the North Atlantic District championship to RCSJ-Gloucester, 4-3, were edged for the lone at-large bid by the defending national champions, Patrick & Henry Community College (VA), the #2 ranked team in the country.
