LINCROFT, NJ - The 8th ranked Northampton women's volleyball team improved to 14-0 on the season with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-21) victory over Brookdale Community College on Saturday afternoon at Collins Arena.
Samantha Nagy (Easton, PA/Easton) led the Spartans with 35 assists, 7 digs and 2 aces, while
Lexi Womack (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) recorded 14 kills and 9 digs.
Gianna Sciarra (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) notched 27 digs and 4 service aces and
Grace Coppola (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) added 5 kills, 4 digs and 3 blocks.
"I thought we played well today," remarked Head Coach
Rachael Aquila, "Brookdale is very talented and playing on the road in this Region is always a challenge, but the team stepped up and jumped on them early and were able to secure the win."
Northampton improved to 14-0 overall and 6-0 in Region 19 with the victory.
Brookdale fell to 6-1 overall and 6-1 in the Region.
The Spartans return to the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center on Monday, where they will host NJCAA Division II Harcum College in a non-league match-up at 6pm.
