BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Northampton Director of Athletics Troy Tucker has announced the hiring of Nick Haegele as the interim Head Men's and Women's Wrestling Coach for the 2025-26 season. "We are thrilled to have Coach Haegele leading our wrestling program," remarked Tucker, "Nick did an outstanding job last year as our assistant and played a vital role in our success during our inaugural season."  Haegele takes over for Shaun Lally, who stepped down in August after one season at the helm. 

A former collegiate wrestler at NCAA Division II Millersville University from 2013 thru 2016, Haegele qualified for the NCAA Super Region I at 149lbs during the 2015-16 season. "I can't wait to get started,' stated Haegele, "wrestling has played such a huge role in my life, I am excited to work with these young men and women and help them become not just better wrestlers, but better people as well."

Coach Haegele will hold an informational meeting for all interested wrestlers on Wednesday September 10th at 7pm in the Spartan Center Gallery.
