Named Head Women's Tennis Coach in August 2021, Tammy Smith comes to Northampton after a long and storied career in college athletics. The former Dean of College Life and Athletic Director at Union County College, Smith was also a long-time successful women's basketball coach on the high school, NCAA Division III and NCAA Division I levels.
In her first season, Smith guided the Spartans to an undefeated regular season, the Region 19 Championship and a 4th place finish at nationals, earning Region 19 Coach of the Year Honors. Elizabeth Hozza was named Region 19 Player of the Year, winning the championship at #1 singles.
