Spartans Down Harrisburg on Sophomore Day

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC Spartans needed a late second-half goal from sophomore Eric Brizuela to defeat Harrisburg Area Community College, 2-1, in the team's final regular season home contest.

Seth Dempsey put the Spartans on the board late in the first half, giving them a 1-0 lead at the break.  Harrisburg responded right out of the break, tying the game at 1.  

Northampton dominated play throughout the second half, but could not could penetrate the Hawk defense until Brizuela's shot found its way under the crossbar, with just under 15 minutes remaining.

Patrick Szarzynski earned the victory in goal as NCC improved to 9-5 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

The Spartans travel to Montgomery County Community College on October 14th to face the Mustangs in a 3:00 pm tilt.
