CRANFORD, NJ - The NCC women's volleyball team closed the 2009 season with a 3-0 loss at Union County College on Tuesday night.

The Spartans never got on track, losing 25-16, 25-22, 25-22.  "We just did not perform tonight," remarked Head Coach Missy Lynn, "I think the girls gave everything they had on Saturday at the EPCC's and we just had nothing left tonight ... I hate to end the season this way."

The Spartans, who finished second in the EPCC Tournament, lose sophomores Bethany Chamberlin and Marissa Burns to graduation.  Chamberlin and Burns combined to finish 27-13 during their career at NCC.

Northampton finishes the 2009 season with an 11-9 overall record.
