BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sussex County Community College rebounded from a 2-1 halftime deficit to defeat Northampton, 3-2, in a NJCAA soccer match-up on Monday afternoon.
Daniel Pereira got NCC on the board with his 6th goal of the season and
Joseph Vassallo added a goal to propel the Spartans to a one goal halftime lead.
Sussex tied the game early in the second half and then took the lead on a rebound goal midway through the period. Northampton's pressured the Skylander half of the field, but the Sussex was defense was able to hold on for the 3-2 victory.
Northampton falls to 7-5-0 overall and 6-3-0 in conference play.
The Spartans travel to Reading Area Community College on October 7th to face the Ravens.
