PEMBERTON, NJ - The NCC baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Division II Burlington County College on Thursday afternoon, falling 9-1 and 3-1.
Eric Thorpe, who exited the game in the 5th inning trailing 3-1, took the loss for the Spartans in game one.
Eric Bohem led the offense with a 2 for 3 performance at the plate, including a double.
In game two Burlington scored 2 unearned runs on a fielding error in the bottom of the 5th inning to break a 1-1 tie.

Greg Kolaronda got the only 2 hits for Northampton, as each finished 1 for 3.
Mike Ciavarella took the loss for the Spartans, going six innings, allowing seven hits, striking out one and issuing one free pass.
The doubleheader loss drops Northampton to 4-8 overall as they head into weekend action. The Spartans will host Broome Community College (NY) on Saturday and then open conference play on Sunday when they host Union County College (NJ).
