EDISON, NJ - Sophomore captain
Seth Dempsey scored the lone goal for Northampton in a 5-1 loss at Middlesex County College on Saturday afternoon.
Middlesex put the game away in the last 12 minutes of the first half, pulling away from a 1-1 tie with 3 goals before halftime to take a commanding 4-1 lead.
"The first half was frustrating," commented Head Coach Ned Yelovich, "we were playing well and then we self destructed, but being down 4-1 at the half, I was really happy with how we played in the second half ... the kids didn't quit."
Pat Szarzynski, starting in place of injured
Melvin Amonte, took the loss in goal.
The Spartans, now 0-3-1 overall, travel to Passaic County Community College on September 14th for a 7:00pm matchup.
