NEWTOWN, Pa. - Bucks County Community College earned their first Region XIX victory of the season, defeating the Spartans, 3-1, on Thursday afternoon in a rain-soaked affair.

Bucks jumped out to an early 1-0 lead before NCC tied the contest at the 33 minute mark of the second half, following a 45 minute lightning delay. 

BCC then responded with 2 goals in the next three minutes to take a 3-1 lead, and ultimately the victory.

"Obviously we were down a couple of players today, but that is no excuse," remarked Head Coach Ned Yelovich, "we fought back from an early deficit and kept our focus through the delay, but our lack of composure during that three minute span ultimately cost us an opportunity for a positive result."

The Spartans, now 1-4-1, host nationally-ranked Ocean County College on Saturday at 1:00pm.
