BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC men's soccer team played possibly their best game of the season, but came up short, falling 1-0 to 7th ranked Ocean County College on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings took a 1-0 lead 22 minutes into the game off a corner kick and then made numerous outstanding defensive plays to preserve the 1 goal victory. Ocean County, now 7-0-0, has only allowed one goal the entire season.
"We really played hard today," echoed Head Coach Ned Yelovich, "I felt like we held our own against the 7th ranked team in the country ... even though we lost, our kids should feel proud of their effort."
The Spartans, who fall to 1-5-1 overall, host Manor College on Tuesday September 21st.
