PATERSON, NJ - Meghan Granite recorded 10 kills and 9 digs to lead the Northampton women's volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 25-18) victory over Passaic County Community College on Tuesday evening.

2010 All-Region performer Sabrina Gonzalez had 23 digs, Halie Cintron registered 32 assists and 10 digs and Kelly Yagerhofer finished with 14 kills, 3 aces and 7 digs to pace the Spartans.

"I thought the girls did a good job overcoming the crowd," remarked Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, " Passaic's gym is very loud and I think it affected us a little in the opening set when we fell behind 9-1, but the girls bounced back to get a 25-21 victory and that set the tone for the night."

The nationally-ranked Spartans improve to 13-0 overall and 10-0 in Region XIX.

Passaic falls to 6-7 overall and 5-4 in Region XIX.

Northampton returns to the court on October 15th when they travel to Atlantic Cape Community College.
