RANDOLPH, NJ - The NCC Baseball team won their seventh consecutive game, downing Division II County College of Morris, 3-1, in non-league action Tuesday.
In a playoff tuneup game, Coach
Adrian Yaguez used seven different pitchers, including
Greg Taylor who earned the victory, going one inning allowing no runs and striking out 1.
NCC got things started in the top of the 3rd as
Ryan Mickley doubled and then scored on a single by
Elliott Freeman. Freeman (3 for 4) then advanced to second on an error, stole third and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Richie Eilenberger.
Leading 2-1 entering the 9th inning, Freeman singled and stole second and then scored on a line drive single by Eilenberger, giving the Spartans a 3-1 advantage.

Aaron Barry then came on in the bottom of the 9th and collected his NJCAA-leading 8th save of the season.
NCC improves to 27-10 overall and will now return to playoff action this weekend at Gloucester County College, where they will face the Roadrunners on Friday at 11:00am.
County College of Morris drops to 15-18 overall.
