Soccer Falls in Double OT in Season Opener

BINGHAMTON, NY - The NCC men's soccer team dropped their season opener on Saturday, falling 2-1 to Broome Community College in double overtime.

The Hornets tied the game at 1-1 on a breakaway with 7:30 remaining in the contest.

The teams fought through a scoreless first overtime before Broome scored the game winner 1:45 into the second extra stanza.

"Overall it was a good game," remarked Head Coach Ned Yelovich, "I think we learned a few things today ... both good and bad ... that will help us prepare for our conference opener."
