RANDOLPH, NJ - The County College of Morris won its 4th consecutive game, defeating Northampton, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon in men's soccer action.
The Titans (5-2-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead before
Tre Cardwell hit
Eric Jimenez with a through pass for NCC's only goal with just 5 minutes remaining in the contest. The goal was Jimenez' 6th goal of the season.
Morris, the defending Region XIX champions, outshot the Spartans 9-4, with
Jeremie Martinez making 5 saves for NCC.
"We continue to struggle to put a consistent offensive attack together," remarked Head Coach Ned Yelovich, "we have tried a number of combinations up front, but we can't find that dynamic 1-2 punch to put pressure on the opponent."
The Spartans, 1-6-1 overall (1-5-1 Region XIX), host Camden County College on Tuesday at 3:30pm.
