PARAMUS, NJ - Coming off their championship at the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament in Syracuse, NY, the Northampton volleyball team was back in action on Tuesday night in non-conference action at Bergen Community College, where the Spartans downed the Bulldogs 25-10, 25-10, 25-11 to improve to 29-0 on the season.
Samantha Bertasavage (Pine Grove) had 10 kills and 9 digs and
Anna Domyan (Bethlehem Catholic) recorded 6 kills, 10 aces and 13 digs to lead Northampton.
"We've achieved a couple of our goals that we set for this season, but we still have work to do," commented Head Coach
Adrian Yaguez, "we will take a couple of days to get the girls rested and then begin our preparation for the Regional Tournament."
Ashley McCauley (Bethlehem Catholic) added 24 assists and
Emily Koehler (Northampton) finished with 6 kills and 11 digs after earning MVP honors at the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament in Syracuse, NY.
Northampton, ranked 6th in the latest NJCAA national poll, now will wait to find out their seed for the upcoming Region XIX tournament, with action set to start on October 22nd with the Final Four slated for October 26th at Montgomery County Community College.
