BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Mike Gaudette scored the game winner 5:36 into the second overtime to lift Northampton to a 1-0 victory over Montgomery County Community College on Thursday afternoon.

John Hapes won a ball at midfield, dribbled past the Mustang defense and found Gaudette making a run who then beat the MontCo keeper for the critical conference victory.

"It was huge play," commented Head Coach Joe Heitczman, "Mike worked hard to get that goal and this victory may go a long way in the seeding process."

Ronnie Mendizabal (6 saves) recorded his 2nd shutout of the season as NCC improved to 7-4-1 in conference play and 7-9-1 overall.

The Spartans will now wait for seeding for the upcoming Region XIX Tournament, which is slated to start on Saturday October 26th.
