BETHLEHEM, Pa. -
Megan Groh and her Lady Spartan Tennis team won their second consecutive match, downing Bucks County Community College on Thursday afternoon, 8-1.
The Spartans, who improved to 4-5 on the season, were led by the doubles team of
Meghan Conrad and
Allison Potter who topped the Bucks duo of Margo Lisovaya and Olha Bas, 8-3.
Bucks, who only brought two players, was forced to forfeit at #2 and #3 doubles, as well as #3 thru #6 singles.
In the singles competition,
Allison Potter fell at the #1 spot to Lisovaya, 3-6, 1-6, while
Krista Maue was victorious at #2 singles, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (tie breaker 10-8) over Bas.
The loss drops Bucks to 0-9 on the season.
Northampton will look for the third consecutive victory when they travel to defending national champion Gloucester County College on Saturday.
