BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Brookdale Community College downed the Northampton women's tennis team, 7-0, in the Spartan's regular season finale on Wednesday afternoon.
Northampton, playing without their #1 singles player
Meghan Conrad, were forced to shuffle their lineup vs. the Jersey Blues.
Allison Potter moved up to #1 singles and was defeated by Grace Willis, 6-0, 6-0, while
Shelby Toth lost at #2 singles 1-6, 0-6 to Ana Meneses.Â
Krista Maue lost at #3 singles, 0-6, 0-6 to Amanda Marasco and
Natalie Qammaz was defeated at #4 singles, 6-0, 6-0 by Kim Dougherty.
The Spartans dropped both doubles matches as Potter and Toth teamed up at #1 doubles, while Maue and Qammaz played together at #2 singles.
Northampton finishes their inaugural season with a record of 4-8 and now awaits the seeding for the Region XIX tournament, which will be played at Gloucester County College on Saturday October 12th and Sunday October 13th.Â
