BLUE BELL, Pa. - Jason Kicinski scored on a head ball with 11:53 remaining in the game to give Montgomery County Community College a 1-0 victory in Region XIX men's soccer action on Wednesday after at Bach Field.
Mark Stoughton got the assist as he lofted his corner kick to the far post where Kicinski outjumped the NCC defenders for the games only goal.
"It was a struggle today," lamented Head Coach Joe Heitczman, "we never got a flow offensively and once again a set piece hurt us on the defensive end ... credit Montgomery, they found a way to win."
Northampton, which clinched a playoff spot with their victory on Tuesday over Harrisburg, falls to 6-8-1 overall and 6-4-1 in Region XIX.Â
Montgomery improves to 5-4-1 overall and 5-4-1 in conference play.
