BETHLEHEM, Pa.  The Northampton Baseball team improved to 8-1 in their last nine games with a doubleheader sweep of Bucks County Community College on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Field.

In game one, Matt Roberts (2-0) threw a compete game no-hitter, striking out 9 and walking 1 as the Spartans prevailed 10-0.  It was the second no-hitter and 6th shutout for the Spartan pitching staff this season.  The victory was also Northampton's 100th victory since joining the NJCAA in 2009.

Northampton got things rolling in the bottom of the first inning as Tyler Duplaga, Tyler Ruoss (2 for 3, 3 RBI), Preston Koehler (3 for 4), Carlos Urena and Luke Szoke (3 for 4, 3 RBI) each had RBI singles to give NCC a 5-0 lead.

In game two, Tyler Zimmerman (2-0) picked up the win, going 7 innings, allowing 3 runs, 5 hits and striking out 7 as NCC took a 16-3 victory.

Jon DeJesus was 2 for 3 with 4 RBI, Tyler Ruoss was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and Andreas Haller was 2 for 3 as NCC capitalized on their 10 hits and 9 errors by Bucks County, coached by first year mentor Jeff Cochran.
