BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Preseason training is underway for the Northampton men's soccer team, as they prepare for the upcoming 2013 season.
Second year head coach Joe Heitczman will look to build off last year's 4-10-3 season, which saw the Spartans eliminated from playoff contention in the final game of the season. "I like what I see so far," remarked Heitczman, "we do not have a lof of returners, but the freshmen came into camp in shape and ready to go."
The Spartans will open the season on September 5th when they travel to Manor College, the defending Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) champions, "It will be good test right off the bat," noted Heitczman, "Manor had a very good club last year and is very well coached."
