Spartans Sweep Harrisburg, Remain Perfect

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 6th ranked Northampton volleyball team remained perfect, defeating Harrisburg Area Community College 25-13, 25-6, 25-11 on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

Region XIX Player of the Year Emily Koehler had 16 kills and 9 digs, while Jax Babezki recorded 15 kills and 5 blocks to lead the Spartan offensive attack.  Anona Bauman registered 35 assists and Heather Kobrzynksi had a team-high 9 digs as Northampton improved to 23-0 on the season.

"Tonight's match was good preparation for this weekend," commented Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "Ocean County College is coming in here undefeated and Harcum College is much-improved ... Saturday's tri-match should be a good test for us."

Harrisburg falls to 11-5 with the loss.

Northampton hosts Ocean and Harcum in a tri-match on Saturday, with play starting at 12pm at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
