Baseball Ranked 10th in Latest NJCAA Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - The Northampton baseball team is ranked 10th in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, released today by the national office.

The Spartans went 5-2 on their Spring Trip to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC, defeating Chesapeake College, Mohawk Valley College, Ancilla College, Bunker Hill Community College and the College of Southern Maryland, while dropping two one-run extra inning affairs; 2-1 to Divsion I Triton College and 3-2 to Division II Mercer County Community College.

"It's a great honor for the players and the staff," remarked Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "obviously it is very early and we have a long season ahead of us, but it is nice for the player's effort and hard-work to be rewarded with a spot in the national poll."

Northampton, which was postponed today vs. Bucks County Community College, will travel to Delaware County Community College on Thursday March 27th to face the Phantoms in their conference opener.
