Baseball Lands Four on All-EPAC Team

MOORE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Northampton baseball team, which captured the EPAC Championship, placed four players on the 2014 All-Conference team, released today by the league office.

Zach Sheranko (Pocono Mt. East) was voted the Conference Player of the Year, while Nick Todero, Mike Anthony and Luini Ortiz all joined Sheranko on the all-conference team.

Sheranko is batting .410 with 34 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 20 RBI and 11 stolen bases for the Spartans, who finished 9-1 in conference play to capture their 3rd consecutive league title.

Todero (Pine Grove) has a .367 batting average with 36 hits, 7 doubles, 21 RBI and 12 stolen bases.

Anthony (Methacton) has been the Spartan's top arm, with a 3-3 overall record, 47.2 innings pitched, 51 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.13.

Ortiz (Emmaus) has 19 RBI, 26 hits and a .347 batting average.

Northampton, 18-9 overall, received the #5 seed for the upcoming Region XIX tournament and wll face 4th seeded Brookdale in a best of three series this weekend in Lincroft, NJ.

Head Coach Adrian Yaguez earned his second consecutive EPAC Coach of the Year Award.
