Montgomery County Tops Northampton, 3-1

BETHLEHEM, Pa, - Baidy Ba scored early to give the Northampton men's soccer team a 1-0 lead, but Montgomery County Community College rallied for a 3-1 victory in Region XIX soccer action on Tuesday afternoon.

Ba, who has 7 goals to lead the Spartans, and Brian Garcia had strong offensive performances for Northampton, but were held scoreless by the Mustangs in the second half.

Montgomery took a 2-1 lead into intermission and scored the clincher with 15 minutes remaining to make the final 3-1.

Zach Fuls had 9 saves for Northampton, which falls to 1-8-0 with the loss.

The Spartans return to the pitch on Saturday the 4th of October when they host EPAC foe Harrisburg Area Community College.
