BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Joey Jacona (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg South ) scored 3 goals and had one assist and Sam Gaye (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) and Baidy Ba (Bethlehem, PA /Freedom ) each added 2 goals as the Northampton men's soccer team cruised past Delaware County Community College, 9-1, on Saturday afternoon.

Hamdi Selmi (Tunisia/Soussa - Tunisia ) and Majed Salama (Allentown, PA /Catasauqua) each added goals, while Ba added two assists and Cesar Hernandez (East Stroudsburg, PA /Stroudsburg) and Gaye each had one.

Bryan Angel (Tobyhanna, PA /East Stroudsburg South ) got the win in goal, replacing injured starter Kenan Meral (Bethlehem, PA /Liberty ), making 5 saves.

Jacona and Gaye each now have 20 goals on the season, while Ba has 16 goals and 14 assists. Ba's 14 assists are tied for 2nd in the country.

Northampton improves to 9-3-0 overall and 9-2-0 in conference play.

Delaware falls to 2-10-0 overall and 2-8-0 in conference play.

In a strange scheduling twist, Northampton and the Phantoms will square-off again on Monday in Media, PA at 3:30pm.
