Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match to Remain Perfect in Region XIX

WAYNE, Pa. - The Northampton volleyball team swept Harrisburg Area Community College and Valley Forge Military College on Saturday at an EPAC tri-match hosted by the Trojans.

In match one Northampton downed Harrisburg 25-13, 25-7, 25-16 as Jax Babezki (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South ) had 15 kills and Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley ) added 14 kills and 2 blocks. Morgan Barnes (Macungie, PA/Salem Christian ) added 8 kills, Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) had 12 digs and Anona Bauman (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) recorded 40 assists, 3 aces and 4 digs.

In match two, the Spartans topped host Valley Forge, 25-2, 25-4, 25-7 behind 13 kills from Lozier and 8 aces from Abby Monks (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh ). Taylor Lamana (Bethlehem, PA /Notre Dame Green Pond) had 4 kills and Lori Deutsch (Bath, PA/Northampton ) registered 3 aces and 2 digs.

Northampton, ranked 10th in the latest NJCAA poll, improves to 18-3 overall and 11-0 in Region XIX.

The Spartans return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Blue Bell, PA to face Montgomery County Community College at 7pm.
