10th Ranked Volleyball Downs Montgomery for 16th Straight Victory

BLUE BELL, Pa. - The 10th ranked Northampton volleyball team won their 16th consecutive match on Tuesday night, downing Montgomery County Community College 25-22, 25-16, 25-14 to improve to 19-3 on the season.

Bridget Lozier (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley ) had 13 kills, Jax Babezki (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South ) 11 kills and Morgan Barnes (Macungie, PA/Salem Christian ) 8 kills to lead the offense, behind Anona Bauman (Northampton, PA/Northampton )'s 31 assists. Megan Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) recorded 10 digs, Kalli Walling (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) 6 digs, Hannah Park (Snow Shoe, PA/Bald Eagle ) 6 aces and Bauman added 8 digs for the Spartans.

Next up for Northampton is a trip to Syracuse, NY to compete in the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament at Onondaga Community College. The Spartans are the two-time defending tournament champions and will get the opportunity to face nationally-ranked Monroe Community College on Saturday in pool play.

The Spartans open competition on Friday night when they face the host Lazers at 5:30pm.

Montgomery falls to 10-5 overall with the loss.
