Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team snapped their two-game losing streak with a 70-63 victory over Thaddeus Stevens College on Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Hall.
"We were able to build a 12 point lead in the first half, but Stevens was able to cut it to 6 at halftime," lamented Head Coach
Brennan McCarthy, "we struggled with their pressure in the second half, but to their credit our guys were able to hang on down the stretch and make enough plays to get a critical road victory for us."
D'Montie Shaw (York, PA/William Penn ) scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Northampton, while
Ramon Nedd (East Stroudsburg, PA /Notre Dame - East Stroudsburg ) added 10 points and 5 rebounds and
Edwin Lopez (East Stroudsburg, PA /Stroudsburg ) had 12 points and a team-high 8 assists.

The Spartans finished 29 of 49 from the field (59%), but once again struggled from the charity stripe (7/15) and taking care of the ball (31 turnovers), "There are definitely areas that we need to work on," stated McCarthy, "but I feel like we are improving each day."
