BETHLEHEM, Pa. - All ten players that dressed scored at least 2 points as the Northampton women's basketball team downed Harrisburg 77-33 on Tuesday night at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
The victory was the 5th straight for the Spartans, who improved to 7-2 overall and 5-0 in Region XIX.
"We came out with good energy tonight and were able to jump on Harrisburg quick," commented Head Coach
Tara Belfield, "I thought we did a good job sharing the ball and our defensive intensity early was very good."
The Spartans jumped out to a 27-8 lead after one quarter and never looked back, led by
Zeniyah Sanders (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and
Amber Farnholtz (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
Julia Craig (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) had a team-high 6 assists and
Asia Morton (Easton, PA/Easton ) pulled down a season-high 15 rebounds as the Spartans outrebounded Harrisburg 61 to 25.
HACC falls to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in EPAC.
Northampton is now off until after the Thanksgiving break when they travel to Lehigh Cabon on December 1st to face the Cougars at 6pm.
