MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Northampton baseball team split two games on Monday at the Ripken Experience, falling to Danville Area Community College, 3-0, and then rebounding to defeat Penn St. Mont Alto, 5-4, to improve to 3-1 overall.
Sean Williams (Belvidere, NJ /Notre Dame - Green Pond ) took the loss vs. Danville, going 4.2 innings allowing 3 hits, striking out one and walking 3.
Luini Ortiz (Allentown, PA /Emmaus ) had the lone hit for the Spartans, as Danville pushed across one run in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings.
