LIMEPORT, Pa - The Northampton Baseball team downed Lehigh Carbon Community College 6-3 on Tuesday night in an EPAC matchup at historic Limeport Stadium.

Playing under the lights at the historic venue which opened in 1933, Eddy Albertson (Bethlehem, PA /Liberty) earned the victory on the mound, going 8.1 innings while striking out 12 and allowing only 3 hits.  Frank Angeloni (Westville, NJ/Highland (NJ)) was 4 for 4 with two doubles, Ben Hauser (Pipersville, PA/Central Bucks - East ) was 2 for 4, Jake Lisinicchia (Easton, PA /Easton) was 2 for 4 and Luini Ortiz (Allentown, PA /Emmaus ) was 1 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI.

Key hits for the Spartans were a two-run double by Oritz and a RBI single from Jakob Pacheco (Emmaus, PA /Emmaus ), both in the top of the 7th, which increased Northampton's lead from 3-1 to 6-1.

The victory moves Northampton to 8-9 in Region XIX, 17-15 overall and 7-2 in conference play.  Lehigh Carbon falls to 4-10 in Region XIX, 10-16 overall and 4-4 in conference.

Northampton returns to conference play on Thursday when they host undefeated Montgomery County Community College at 3:30pm.  The Mustangs, who are 7-0 in conference play, defeated the Spartans, 4-0, in a rain-shortened contest on April 7th in Blue Bell.
