BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Baseball team received the #6 seed for the upcoming Region XIX tournament as released today by the Region XIX baseball committee.

The Spartans, 22-16 overall, will travel to Bergen Community College on Saturday May 2nd for the first two games of the best of three series, with the third game scheduled for Sunday at noon, if necessary.

Bergen, the #3 seed, finished the regular season with a record of 20-11, including a 15-6 record in Region XIX.  The Bulldogs defeated #1 seed RCGC and #2 seed Cumberland during the regular season.

Northampton will be looking to advance to their 5th Region Final Four in 7 seasons since joining the NJCAA.  "Bergen is very good," remarked skipper Adrian Yaguez, "we have always played each other tough and they obviously have had a very good season knocking off both Cumberland and RCGC ... we will have our hands full, but we are looking forward to competing this weekend."
