Women's Tennis Tops Brookdale

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 7th ranked Northampton women's tennis team improved to 5-2 on the season with an 8-1 victory over a short-handed Brookdale Community College squad on Thursday afternoon at Louise Moore Park.

Valeria Ceron (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom ) was victorious at #1 singles, downing Alexis Benadum 6-2, 6-1, and in doubles competition she teamed with Emily Moss (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) to defeat Karen Morgan and Taylor Sciarra 8-1. Moss won at #2 singles, downing Morgan 6-0, 6-1, while Jasmeet Kaur (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom ) fell at #3 singles to Taylor Sciarra, 5-6, 3-6.

The other matches were all forfeit victories for Northampton, resulting in the 8-1 victory.

The Spartans host Bucks County Community College on Tuesday September 29th at 3:30pm at Louise Moore Park
