BETHLEHEM, Pa. - All ten players in uniform scored as the Northampton women's basketball team downed the Community College of Philadelphia, 96-19, on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
Julia Craig (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) and
Jenesa Fields (Brodheadsville, PA /Pleasant Valley) each scored 14 points, while
Amber Farnholtz (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) with 13,
Zeniyah Sanders (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) 12,
Kye Adams (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg South ) 12 and
Maliah Livingston (Bangor, Pa/Bangor ) 10, all reached double figures.
Northampton outrebounded CCP 40 to 19 and forced the Colonials into 46 turnovers. The Spartans shot 56% for the game, converting 44 of 79 field goal attempts.
The victory keeps Northampton undefeated in EPAC play at 7-0 and they improve to 13-3 overall and 11-1 in Region XIX.
Philadelphia falls to 1-12 overall, 1-11 in Region XIX and 1-6 in conference play.
The Spartans return to the Arthur L. Scott Center hardwood on Tuesday night when they host Montgomery County Community College at 6pm.
