Box Score HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team clinched their 4th consecutive EPAC championship with a 97-54 victory over Harrrisburg Area Community College on Tuesday night.  The victory moves Northampton to 9-0 in conference play with one game remaining, guaranteeing them the title, regardless of the outcome of their contest on February 2nd vs. Lehigh Carbon.

"Well, this is step one on our checklist of goals for this season," remarked Head Coach Tara Belfield, "we wanted to continue our run on top of the EPAC .... now we need to stay focused and continue to work toward Regionals."

Jenesa Fields (Brodheadsville, PA /Pleasant Valley) scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Zeniyah Sanders (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 blocked shots.  Amber Farnholtz (Northampton, PA/Northampton ) came off the bench to score 13 points and Julia Craig (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) added 13 points and 5 assists as the Spartans shook off travel issues earlier in the day to Harrisburg and jumped out to a 28-13 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

The victory, Northampton's 37th consecutive conference win, moves the Spartans to 15-4 overall and 13-2 in the Region. 

Harrisburg falls to 6-7 overall, 5-3 in Region XIX and 4-3 in conference play. 

The Spartans will return to action on Saturday January 30th when they travel to Sewell, NJ to face RCGC at noon.
