BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's soccer team, the 2016 EPAC Champions, earned the #7 seed for the upcoming Region XIX tournament and will host #10 Bucks County Community College on Saturday at 12pm.

The Spartans, who finished the regular season with an overall record of 13-2-0 and a conference mark of 12-0-0, defeated Bucks (12-6-0) twice during the regular season; 2-1 on September 13th in Newtown and 3-2 on October 13th in Bethlehem.  

Northampton has been led offensively by EPAC Player of the Year Joey Jacona (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ), who has scored 20 goals and has 8 assists, Armando Gonzalez (Bath, PA/Nazareth), Cesar Hernandez (East Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and Mohamed Aisset (Allentown, PA /William Allen ), while Matt McCoy (Upper Mt. Bethel /Bangor ), Sam Gaye (Bath, PA/Northampton ), David Chirco (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg ) and goalkeeper Kenan Meral (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty ) have spearheaded a defense that has posted 4 shutouts.
