ROCHESTER, MN - The Northampton women's volleyball team will be the #6 seed for the upcoming NJCAA National Tournament, according to a release today from the national office. The Spartans, 30-1, will face 3rd seeded Eastfield College (TX), 24-4, in their opening match at 1:30pm (EST) on Friday November 11th a the UCR Regional Sports Center.

"I was expecting to get 6th," commented Head Coach Adrian Yaguez, "I was hoping for 5, but given the committee's charge, realistically I felt like we would probably end up at 6.  Eastfield will be a tremendous challenge, but one you have to meet if you want to be a national champion."

The team will departing from campus on Wednesday morning, traveling to Newark Airport (NJ), where they will fly to Minneapolis (MN) before driving to Rochester.  The team will practice on Wednesday and Thursday before opening competition on Friday. 

"The team can't wait," expressed Yaguez, "everyone is looking forward to getting on the road Wednesday and arriving in Minnesota."
