MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Northampton Baseball Team earned two more victories on Wednesday, downing Brunswick Community College (NC) 8-4 and Illinois Valley Community College (IL) 7-2 at the Ripken Experience to finish 6-2 on their Spring Trip.
GAME ONEThe Spartans overcame Brunswick scoring 4 runs in the top of the 1st inning as
Tyler Widitz (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) settled down and went 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 earned), 6 hits and striking out 5, earning his first victory of the season.
Roanderson Severino (Reading, PA/Reading ) was 3 for 4 with a stolen base and 2 RBI,
Ryan Nazario (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) was 2 for 4 with a triple,
Colton Hooker (Warrington, PA/Upper Moreland ) was 1 for 4 with a homerun and
Adam Hennessy (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) finished 2 for 3.

GAME TWO In game two, the Spartans jumped on Illinois Valley with 7 runs in the top of the 1st inning and then cruised to a 7-2 victory.
John Bowman (Canton, PA/Canton Area) earned the victory on the mound, going 3 innings, allowing 1 hit and 1 run.
Angel Lopez (Pennsburg, PA/Perkiomen School ) was 2 for 2 with a double,
Aaron Gentry (Reading, PA/Exeter) was 2 for 4 with a double and
Zane Vargason (Milan, PA/Athens Area ) had a triple and 2 RBI.
