MEDIA, Pa. - The Northampton Baseball team improved to 11-3 on the season with a dominating 11-0 victory over Delaware County Community College on Thursday afternoon at Cipriano Field.
Matt Hassick (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall ) earned the victory on the mound, going 4 innings, allowing 0 runs and 2 hits, while striking out 6. The Spartan's pitching staff only allowed 2 hits on the day in earning the shutout victory.
Kyle Buchman (Orefield, PA/Notre Dame - Green Pond ) was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI,
Colton Hooker (Warrington, PA/Upper Moreland ) was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI, including a solo homerun in the 1st inning, his 5th of the season.
Collin McGeary (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic ) hit a solo bomb in the 6th inning and
Roanderson Severino (Reading, PA/Reading ) finished 2 for 4 with 2 runs and 2 stolen bases, as the Spartans pounded out 10 hits in the victory.
Northampton, now 2-0 in Region XIX, hosts Raritan Valley Community College in a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon.
Delaware falls to 0-8 overall and 0-2 in Region XIX.
