PARAMUS, NJ - The Northampton Baseball team extended their winning streak to eleven games with a doubleheader sweep of Bergen Community College on Sunday at Hernandez Field.
GAME ONE - WON 2-1Northampton rode the right arm of
Tyler Forbes (Athens, PA/Athens Area ), who threw a complete game 2-hitter, allowing 1 run,striking out 9 while improving to 4-0 on the season as the Spartans prevailed 2 to 1. Â
Colton Hooker (Warrington, PA/Upper Moreland ) was 1 for 3 with a homerun in the 2nd inning, while
Ryan Nazario (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) finished 2 for 4 with a double. Â With the score tied 1-1,
Franklin Ramirez (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic) tripled to lead off the 5th inning and scored what proved to be the winning run on a RBI single from
Aaron Gentry (Reading, PA/Exeter).Â

GAME TWO - WON 4-3The Spartans won game two 4-3, throwing out the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning.Â
