BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Baseball team won their school-record 12th consecutive game, downing Lehigh Carbon Community College, 17-7, on Monday afternoon at Spartan Park.  

The Spartans led 11-7 going into the bottom of the 7th inning when they erupted for 6 runs to earn the run-rule shortened 17-7 victory.  Roanderson Severino (Reading, PA/Reading ) doubled and then scored on a single by Ryan Nazario (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ).  Angel Lopez (Pennsburg, PA/Perkiomen School ) singled and then scored (along with Nazario) on a double from Colton Hooker (Warrington, PA/Upper Moreland ).  Collin McGeary (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic ) then hit a 2-run homerun, followed by a solo homerun from Franklin Ramirez (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic), which ended the game. 

Kyle Arganbright (York, PA/Hempfield ) earned the victory, improving to 2-0, going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits while striking out 9.  Tristan James (Towanda, PA/Towanda Area) came on in relief, throwing 2 innings, allowing 3 hits and 4 runs and striking out 2.  Angel Lopez (Pennsburg, PA/Perkiomen School ) finished 4 for 4 with a triple and 4 RBI, Collin McGeary (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic ) was 2 for 5 with a homerun and 4 RBI, Franklin Ramirez (Reading, PA/Berks Catholic) finished 3 for 4 with a double, homerun and RBI, Colton Hooker (Warrington, PA/Upper Moreland ) was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and Ryan Nazario (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) was 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored, a triple and 2 RBI. 

The victory propels Northampton to 17-3 overall, 6-0 in Region XIX and 4-0 in conference.  The Spartans are now 9-0 vs. LCCC since the Cougars joined the NJCAA in 2012. 

LCCC falls to 9-11 overall, 4-7 in Region XIX and 2-1 in conference.

Northampton returns to the diamond on Tuesday, traveling to Scranton, PA to face NJCAA Division II Lackawanna College at 3:30pm.
