NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton Baseball team extended their winning streak to 14 games with a convincing 14-5 victory over Bucks County Community College on Thursday afternoon. In a game that lasted over 4 hours, the Spartans utilized 17 walks by the Centurion pitching staff and 4 hit batsman and 6 hits to plate 14 runs. It was the 8th time in the last 11 games that the Spartans have scored double-digit runs.
Tyler Widitz (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) improved to 2-0, throwing 2.1 innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 2.
John Bowman (Canton, PA/Canton Area),
Chris White (Union Dale, PA/Mountain View ) and
Matt Hassick (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall ) each saw action on the mound, combining for 11 strikeouts.
Jake Pacheco (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) was 2 or 4 with a stolen base and a triple,
Jake Lisinicchia (Easton, PA/Easton ) was 1 or 2 with a RBI and
Angel Lopez (Pennsburg, PA/Perkiomen School ) was 1 for 1 with a double and 4 runs scored.

The victory moves Northampton, ranked 9th in the country, to 19-3 overall, 7-0 in Region XIX and 5-0 in conference.
Bucks falls to 5-10 overall and 1-4 in Region and conference play.
The Spartans travel to Vineland, NJ on Saturday to face Cumberland County College in a doubleheader starting at noon.
