BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Baseball team returned to their winning ways on Tuesday, downing Delaware County Community College 14-0 at Spartan Park.
Northampton scored 14 runs on 11 hits and only allowed 1 hit and no runs over 7 innings in dismantling the Phantoms.
John Bowman (Canton, PA/Canton Area) earned the win, throwing 4 innings of 1 hit ball, striking out 5.
Kyle Arganbright (York, PA/Hempfield ) came on in relief, striking out 6 in 3 innings of work.
Jake Pacheco (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) led the offense going 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI,
Cody Herestofa (Brookhaven, PA/Sun Valley ) was 2 for 2 with 3 stolen bases,
Roanderson Severino (Reading, PA/Reading ) finished 2 for 4 wiwth 3 stolen bases,
Ryan Nazario (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) was 2 for 5 with a triple and
Adam Hennessy (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South ) was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI.
Northampton improves to 21-6 overall, 9-3 in Region XIX and 6-0 in conference play.
Delaware falls to 0-14 overall and 0-5 in Region XIX.
The Spartans travel to Nanticoke, Pa on Thursday for a pivotal EPAC showdown with Luzerne County Community College at 3:30pm.
